As a backup solution for older devices (pre 2017) Infotap will display a QR code which will point the device to the same predetermined location once the QR code has been scanned

  • On your Android device, tap Settings.
  • Tap More.
  • Scroll down to NFC and Android Beam options.
  • Tap on the NFC switch to activate it. Android Beam will automatically turn on.

The consumption of the NFC sensor is almost irrelevant. In addition, it consumes battery only when it is in use, similar to GPS. This feature allows you to leave the NFC sensor enabled, no problems for the consumption of the battery.
